Searching for a deeper connection to Jesus? Desiring stronger bonds to fellow brothers and sisters in Christ? Hungry for a found family in faith? Joining a Small Group at St Peter’s Parish is the next step for you.
What is a “Small Group”: “Small Group” ministry is new to our parish but its origins go back to the founding of Christianity itself. Simply put, a group of faithful believers come together on a regular basis to share their faith, lift each other up in prayer, and celebrate what God is doing in their life. Each member of a small group brings their unique perspectives, skills, and life stories to share and help every other member of their group find new ways to discover Jesus’s love.
Who can join a “Small Group”: As Oscar Wilde once said “Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.” Whether you are a thriving disciple of God or living the Christian life is new to you, we encourage everyone to sign up for a small group. There is no prerequisite required to start diving deeper into our faith life. Groups are primarily designed for adults, who have graduated high school and are looking for more. If you are a high school or younger student, we offer small groups for you as well; through our youth ministry program.
When is “Small Group”: As our kickoff to this new ministry groups will meet during Advent, December 4th, 11th, 18th in the Narthex from 10am – 11am. After this initial kickoff there will be an invitation to continue with your small group.
Small Groups go hand in hand with our Advent Series “Grace and Truth” which means the messages you will hear during Sunday Mass will tie directly into the conversations you will be having at small group. This is a fantastic way to get to know your fellow parishioner and take that next step in your faith journey.
