Are you interested in becoming Catholic? Maybe you’re not ready to become Catholic yet, but you are interested in exploring more about what and why the Catholic Church teaches that! Were you born and raised in the Catholic Church, but forgot seemingly everything and find yourself longing to know more about your faith? If you answered yes to any of those questions, there is an opportunity for you!
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA, formerly RCIA) is a journey of personal discovery, faith sharing, and learning about the Catholic Church. The RCIA group offers inquirers opportunities for discussion and to ask questions while discerning possible entrance into the Catholic Church.
Adult, in the Church, does not mean the legal age set by most states. The church defines an adult as one who has reached the catechetical age (roughly seven to eight) and has attained the use of reason (moral responsibility) aka children of the catechetical age.
