Welcome to a community full of Spirit, Tradition, and Possibilities
St. Peter’s Parish was established in 1925 as a center of Catholic worship and a living extension of Christ’s love. As the St. Peter’s Parish family and campus flourished, so did its vital Social Services Ministry, dynamic Faith and Youth Formation, lively Seniors Programs, and many other important organizations. The largest ministry, our parochial school founded in 1929, offers children from pre-school through 8th-grade a faith-based atmosphere for academic, spiritual, and social achievement. As members of a diverse and inclusive community, we are called to serve God, each other, our neighbors, and the world as the path to a greater future.
Thriving in the heart of Kansas City for more than 90 years, nearly 900 families now call St. Peter’s home. We hope you might join us for one of our Masses. Or check out our active calendar and attend an event of interest. We invite you to learn more about becoming Catholic or discover how to enrich your faith through our strong community of fellowship. We hope you’ll find St. Peter’s members like to worship, serve, pray, play, and “come to the table” together. Throughout these pages, you will see there is something for everyone at STP and all are welcome here!
Our Parish Vision:

St. Peter’s Mission Statement:
We of St. Peter’s Parish are a faith community who have as our model our Lord Jesus Christ and the fulfillment of His mission. We profess who we are by our shared belief and understanding of the Gospel. As people called to conversion, we come together to celebrate and bear witness to God’s redemptive activity in our lives. We live out this mission of Christ through prayer and worship and through our baptismal call, which challenges us to minister to and with others.
