We are seeking adult and high-school aged volunteers to assist with our Children’s Liturgy of the Word ministry, offered during the school year at the Sunday 9 a.m. Mass for children ages 4 – 2nd grade. After the opening prayer, the children are accompanied to the church basement, where they learn about the Gospel through fun activities. They return to the Mass prior to the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Preparation for the lesson requires a few minutes perusing the teacher’s guide and weekly activity book. Please email Megan Scheiderer at email@example.com. Volunteers must complete Protecting God’s Children training.

Once again, A Round for Brian, the golf tournament honoring the memory of STP grad Brian Euston, is sold out. We’re blown away by the support and generosity of so many. Over the past 8 years, A Round for Brian has netted over $300,000 and benefitted two of Brian’s favorite places — St. Peter’s School and Rockhurst High School. While there are no spots left for teams there is always room for more sponsors, donations and volunteers! Come out and see us. Buy a lunch or pool pass and check out some of the many wonderful silent auction items. There is still a great need for event volunteers– Go to aroundforbrian.org for more information.
