We are organizing small groups of 5-10 people to discuss the book Rediscover Jesus, similar to our Lenten book discussion groups. Please submit this online form if you would like to be part of a weekly discussion group, beginning mid July. Form your own group, or we will find one for you. See sign-up for details.
Who am I? Who is God? What am I here for? What will my contribution be? We discover the answers to these questions by encountering Jesus. Rediscover Jesus–join our summer email series and receive a short daily video that will inspire your journey. Learn more and sign up here.
In times of crisis, it can be helpful to picture a future that is bigger, better and brighter. Now is a great time to dream – for our community, our family, our Church, our parish, and ourselves. As part of our Dynamic Parish initiative, we recommend everyone watch the virtual event which is available [in English and Spanish] until July 15 at DynamicDreams.us, a follow-up to last fall’s dream event.
For many weeks you experienced Mass from home, and now many of you are venturing back to church. This week, whether you’re still watching on video, or are back in church for live Mass, we’d like to invite you to enrich your Sunday experience with the Dynamic Parish “At-Home Activity”. Visit SundayExperience.us and download the Sunday Plan template that corresponds with your situation, either celebrating Mass at home or in church. On the Sunday Plan, you’ll see three different categories: Preparation (before Mass), Participation (during Mass), and Reflection (after Mass). Each of the three categories will have a few suggestions of things to do during that period of time, to make your entire Sunday experience more powerful. Read through the suggestions and select one from each category to commit to. Give it a try and see what surprising things can happen if you truly make yourself available to God.
Is there someone in your life who could use some encouragement? Someone you believe in? Or someone who has believed in you? This week’s At-Home Activity is to stop for a moment and write a letter to that person. Visit DynamicLetters.us, watch a short video, and then use the letter template provided to get started!
Parents, here’s a virtual event for teens 13-18. Nathan Crankfield, our Dynamic Parish consultant, will talk with teens about dealing with pandemic anxiety, despair, and anger. It’s Wednesday evening at 7 pm (central time) on Zoom: http://ow.ly/FtX750zJToh.
