Announcement From the Diocesan Office of Child and Youth Protection

Bishop James Johnston has publicized a list of the priests and deacons of our diocese with substantiated allegations of abuse of minors. Here is the link to take you to the information from the Bishop – Bishop’s Message. You will find a video and a letter from the Bishop which explains the listing of clerics and acknowledges the deep wounds caused by clergy sexual abuse. It also urges all of us to remain vigilant – not to become complacent. The Bishop’s letter will also be mailed to all diocesan households and will appear, with the list, in the September 13 edition of The Catholic Key. As always, please feel free to contact Fr. Rotert or Fr. Fox through the parish office, (816) 363-2320.

Our Mission

We of St. Peter’s Parish are a faith community who have as our model our Lord Jesus Christ and the fulfillment of his mission. We profess who we are by our shared belief and understanding of the Gospel. As people called to conversion, we come together to celebrate and bear witness to God’s redemptive activity in our lives. We live out this mission of Christ through prayer and worship and through our baptismal call, which challenges us to minister to and with others.
