Advent Penance Services at St. Peter’s and Area Churches

St. Peter’s annual Advent Reconciliation Service is this Sunday, December 16, at 2 p.m. Five visiting priests will join Fr. Matt, Fr. Terry, and Fr. Bill to help us celebrate this important Sacrament as we prepare for Christmas. Penance Services are being offered at St. Peter’s and nearby parishes as follows:
  • Sunday, December 16, 2 p.m. at St. Peter’s
  • Monday, December 17, 7 p.m. at Visitation
  • Thursday, December 20, 7 p.m. at St. Elizabeth
  • Sunday, December 23, 2 p.m. at St. Thomas More

Women of St. Peter’s Holiday Brunch, Sunday, Dec. 16

All women of the parish are invited to attend the Women of St. Peter’s Annual Christmas Brunch on December 16, 2018. We will gather in the church basement following the 9:00 Mass. Together we will make holiday floral arrangements and pack homemade Christmas cookies to deliver to our homebound members. We will also be collecting donations of toilet tissue for St. Peter’s Social Services. If you have never attended one of our events, this is the perfect opportunity. PTA Christmas Gift Wrapping Dec. 14-15

Save time during the holiday season and let the PTA wrap your gifts for you! Drop off your Christmas gifts in the school basement Friday, Dec. 14, 8am-4pm, and Saturday, Dec. 15, 8am-3pm. The PTA supplies everything; free will donations are appreciated. All proceeds go to the PTA teacher and staff Christmas fund!

Cookies with Santa This Sunday, Dec. 9

All kids are welcome to come and have their picture taken with Santa Claus, make a Christmas craft project, and enjoy some cookies and hot chocolate this Sunday, Dec. 9, 12-1:30pm. in the school cafeteria. Feel free to grab your neighbor kids and join us for a jolly good time. Thanks to the confirmation class for hosting this fun event! If you have questions, please email Toni Mitchum.

Donut Sunday This Week; Ornaments for Sale After Masses

Please join us in the narthex this Sunday after the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Masses for donuts, juice, and coffee. The PTA will again be selling the commemorative St. Peter’s Christmas ornament after all Masses this weekend as well while supplies last. The cost is $20.

Holy Day This Saturday

This Saturday, December 8, we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Mass on this holy day of obligation is scheduled for 9 a.m.

Campus Cleanup this Saturday Cancelled

The STP Campus Clean Up Day scheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 1, is cancelled due to current weather conditions & forecast. Too much snow and rain, and leaves are just too wet. Stay tuned for an impromptu call out for volunteers if we get some dry time before Christmas. NO SCHOOL MONDAY, NOV. 26

Due to the inclement weather, St. Peter’s School, along with Southwest POD Catholic Schools of St. Elizabeth, St. Thomas More, and Visitation, will be closed Monday, November 26. Classes will resume Tuesday, November 27.
