Bishop Sullivan Kitchen Crew Needed for Oct. 31

We need a crew of 10-12 volunteers to serve a meal on Wednesday, October 31, at Bishop Sullivan Kitchen (formerly St. James Place). Arrive around 4, done by 6:30 and home in time to hand out Halloween candy! This is a great activity for a parish group or family. Contact Dan for more info at 816.877.0300 or

Dining Out Night/Day at The Well, Tuesday Oct. 9

Our friends at The Well (74th and Wornall) are hosting a Dining Out Day & Night on Tuesday, Oct. 9. Stop by for lunch or dinner (or both!), mention St. Peter’s, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to our school! It’s all day, 11am-10pm. Thanks for supporting STP!

Food Pantry Drive this Week, Oct. 8-12

Food Pantry supplies are running low and your generosity is our lifeline. We will restock with a food drive this week, Oct. 8-12. The most needed items are:

  • ECLC: Canned Fruits
  • Kindergarten: Canned Soups
  • First Grade: Cereal
  • Second Grade: Canned Meats
  • Third Grade: Peanut Butter
  • Fourth Grade: Jelly
  • Fifth Grade: Crackers
  • Sixth Grade: Canned Meats
  • Seventh Grade: Cereal
  • Eighth Grade: Pasta Sauce (canned is safest)

PARISH AT LARGE; Hygiene Items, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper, toothpaste, razors, etc.


Walk/Bike to School Day is Wednesday

Wednesday, October 10 is International Walk and Bike to School Day. It’s a great way to have fun, stay fit, and practice important safety rules. You can ride your bike, ride your scooter, walk, or even drive part way and walk the rest. Let’s get moving!


Due to the likelihood of heavy rain, the Family Carnival and Block Party will both take place in the McKay Center Gym. See all the details here. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

Cultural Diversity Bazaar is Saturday, November 3

Plan to attend the Cultural Diversity Bazaar on Saturday, November 3, 5-8 p.m., to learn about different cultures and celebrate diversity in our community. Meyer Fest Tickets Available After Masses This Weekend

Meyer Fest is only 10 days away! Tickets will be sold after Masses this weekend–they are $15 for the Family Carnival (for children 3-18, parents and children under 3 are free) and $15 for the Block Party (this is for adults 18 and over only). Donut Sunday this Week

Please plan to join us for donuts, coffee, and juice in the narthex after the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Masses this Sunday, September 30. You will also be able to purchase Meyer Fest tickets at that time.

URGENT: Help Needed on Campus This Saturday

All hands on deck to apply 10 tons of rubber mulch on the school playground THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 22! We will work 8-11 a.m., rain or shine. Whatever time you can spare is greatly appreciated, Please bring hard rakes, shovels, and wheel barrows; gloves are recommended. Adults and 8th grade or older volunteers only please. We will be using heavy machinery to move mulch so in the interest of safety, please leave the kids at home. Service hours available. Questions please email Mary Hellings.
