Cub Scout Informational Meeting May 2

Attention Kindergarten Boy Parents (or any boy parent through 5th grade!)  Want one less thing on your plate at the beginning of a hectic school year—register for Cub Scouts NOW!  Join Cub Scout Pack 118 for adventures in camping, archery, carpentry, hiking, field trips to explore the community, public service, pinewood derby car racing, and much much more.  Cub scouts is for boys in 1st – 5th grade.  Whether you are in 1st or 5th, it is never too late to join Cub Scouts.  If you are interested in hearing more about Cub Scouts, join us on Tuesday, May 2nd at 6:30 p.m. in the Garden Room for a meeting specifically for new families interest in Cub Scouts.  Parents will receive information about Cub Scouting and there will be activities for the potential Scouts as well.  Please email megan.scheiderer@huschblackwell.com if you plan to attend.  See you there!

Holey Hooley Golf Tournament, Friday, April 28

St. Peter’s Holey Hooley Golf Tournament is Friday, April 28 at Hillcrest Golf Club. Registration is $125 per golfer, which includes green fees, cart, tournament t-shirt, lunch AND dinner. Register online and see additional details here or download and print the registration form here.

Sally Euston Memorial Poker Tournament, April 22

The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring the Sally Euston Memorial Texas Hold’em Tournament on April 22 at 6 p.m. in the Legacy Center basement. Early bird registration is $40 until April 15, then increases to $50. Sign up and see additional details hereProceeds benefit St. Peter’s School.

Campus Clean-up This Saturday Morning

We’re spiffing the campus up for Easter! Grab your garden tools and join us this Saturday, April 8, 8 a.m.-11 a.m.. Check in at the school lobby for an assignment.

Spring Book Fair This Week

The Spring Book Fair, sponsored by St. Peter’s PTA, takes place this week in the Church basement. The hours are 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and after the morning Masses on Sunday.

Food Pantry Drive This Week

The food pantry is running low on much needed items; please help us re-stock our shelves this week. Of course, everything is appreciated, but here is a list of some of our greatest needs, with suggestions for school families by grade level:

School Board Seeking Applications

St. Peter’s School Advisory Board will have two openings effective June 2017. The School Board is an advisory board whose purpose is to formulate and enact policy, set long-term goals for the school, provide general oversight on the financial health of the school, and provide advice and counsel to the administration of the school. Those interested in applying for the vacancies should click here for an application form and submit it to the school office by April 24. Each new member will serve a 3-year term.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Lunch February 28

The school lunch for tomorrow, Shrove Tuesday, will be pancakes prepared fresh on the spot by Cris Cakes. Children who want to participate are asked to contribute $2.

Girl Scouts Hosting Movie/Babysitting Night Friday, Mar. 3

The STP 8th Grade Girl Scouts and their leaders are hosting a Movie Night on Friday, February 3, 6:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. in the Legacy Center Basement for kids age Kindergarten through 4th grade. Several scouts are safe-sitter certified and the troop leaders will provide adult supervision. The movie will be Aladdin and a free-will donation in the amount you would normally pay a sitter is encouraged. Bring a pillow, snacks provided! Click here for more information and to pre-register.
