For Parents

The “For Parents” section of the St. Peter’s School website will give you resources to support your child academically and socially, offer additional ideas to engage your child in learning and fun activities outside of the classroom, keep you in-the-know and up-to-date, and suggest ways that you can get involved in St. Peter’s School yourself. We hope you’ll spend some time on the parish pages, too, looking for ways to participate in parish life and our Catholic faith.

Additional Resources

Parents are their children’s first teachers, and we appreciate the support Moms and Dads give students with their projects and homework. If your child needs additional help or you are looking for fun ways to work with them on some of their skills at home, click here to find links to online tools that will engage your student in practicing math, reading, spelling, and other subjects.

Opportunities for Students After School

In addition to the time our students spend in the classroom, St. Peter’s offers many programs, clubs, and organizations to allow children to explore their abilities and talents, build their confidence, and make new friends. Please look over some of the many activities we offer children under the “Student Life” tab of this school website, including Extracurriculars, Athletics, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Robotics. There are just a few of the programs available. Click on the headlines below to find out more, or e-mail the contact. Parent volunteers are happy to answer your questions. Watch for more enrichment classes in the Principal’s newsletter, e-mailed from the school office every week of the school year.

Get Involved!

Our students’ success relies on supportive parents and an engaged parish community! We invite you to get involved in volunteering in any numbers of ways. Parents have the opportunity to serve on committees, help with extracurricular or enrichment activities, and lend a hand at one of our many events. We think you’ll enjoy meeting other parents, your children’s classmates, teachers and staff, and members of our parish who are committed to the success of your student, both in and out of the classroom!

Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) always has opportunities to involve parents. If you’d like to help and want to work with parents directly, PTA may be just what you are looking for.
