Alright, we didn’t really find hidden treasure, but almost! Some of the stonework from the original building was uncovered during demolition, and our wonderful contractor, Fogel Anderson, plans to restore it as a gift to St. Peter’s. It is on the 2nd floor near the old chapel, and was the southwest exterior corner of the original structure, before the first addition in the 1950s. It is shown here, along with photos of the construction progress. Crews continue to work on roughing in plumbing, electrical and HVAC, as well as framing classrooms and offices on all levels. You have seen some of these demolition photos. Now compare the “before” pictures to the “after”, which show the quick progress being made on framing.
