Faith Formation

No matter where you are on your faith journey, St. Peter’s offers opportunities to learn more about Christ’s teachings, the Bible, our Catholic faith, and the meaning of the Sacraments.

Our parish offers opportunities for faith formation, whether you are learning about Jesus for the first time as a child, you are a teen who’s looking for ways to put your Christian beliefs into action, you are inquiring about joining the Catholic church, or you have been on a spiritual journey your whole life and are looking for ways to deepen your relationship with Christ.

Adult Faith Formation
Some of the many opportunities for adults to enrich their faith life here at St. Peter’s includes Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) for adults interested in becoming Catholic, weekly Bible studies, weekend spiritual retreats (Christ Renews His Parish), weekly faith-based book reviews, and special guests brought to the parish for events or workshops. Find out more about these options for adults.

Sacramental Formation
If you are interested in preparing for any of the sacraments for yourself, your child or other loved one, please visit our pages on Anointing of the Sick, Baptism, Confession, First Holy Communion, Confirmation (both for Adults through our RCIA program or our Youth Confirmation), Marriage, and Holy Orders here.

Youth Faith Formation
Many of our Youth learn the teaching of the Gospels and receive religious education at St. Peter’s School, as well as through their Catholic high schools. We partner with Visitation Catholic Church to offer School of Religion for those students who do not attend Catholic school. St. Peter’s also finds opportunities to keep our middle school and high school teens engaged in their faith and community, beyond the classroom. Christ calls us to serve one another, and our teenagers participate in mission trips, fundraisers, campus clean up days, soup kitchen volunteering, and many other projects that not only help them earn their required service hours, but gets them in the practice of serving their neighbors, so that it becomes a way of life. You’ll find more details about our Youth Faith Formation programming here.
