Join other young parishioners and families of St. Peter’s for a Fall Family-Friendly Happy Hour on Firday, Nov. 1, 4:30-7 p.m. at KC Bier Co. (79th and Wornall). St. Peter’s will provide pizzas and we’ll have yard games and toys for kids. Please email Annie Tweedy to let us know if you’ll be attending.
Your prayers and financial help on World Mission Sunday support mission priests, religious brothers and sisters, and lay people who are witnesses for Christ in countries all over the world. Thank you for your generosity.
St. Peter’s is joining with Visitation and St. Elizabeth parishes to present a workshop on charitable giving through an IRA rollover on Saturday, October 27, 9-10 a.m. at St. Peter’s. Under the renewed (now permanent) legislation, donors who are age 70 ½ or older may make tax-free charitable gifts to their parish or other qualifying charities using funds from their IRAs. This can be an excellent way to give regardless of whether you itemize deductions or not. We encourage members 68 and older to join us. Our presenter will be Jim Hart, CPA, attorney and St. Elizabeth parishioner. For more information or to RSVP, contact Karen Conley in the parish office. firstname.lastname@example.org or 816.800.0105.
We need a crew of 10-12 volunteers to serve a meal on Wednesday, October 31, at Bishop Sullivan Kitchen (formerly St. James Place). Arrive around 4, done by 6:30 and home in time to hand out Halloween candy! This is a great activity for a parish group or family. Contact Dan for more info at 816.877.0300 or email@example.com.
Our friends at The Well (74th and Wornall) are hosting a Dining Out Day & Night on Tuesday, Oct. 9. Stop by for lunch or dinner (or both!), mention St. Peter’s, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to our school! It’s all day, 11am-10pm. Thanks for supporting STP!
